The Border is a terrifying place filled with the souls of the dead. There was a small comfort in knowing that her mother passed on now along with other souls that pass through the mountains. Elise can still see the seal on it, she’d remember the time that she had to fight a deer with a bowl on its head. A ghostly spirit that was as powerful as the real legendary Pokemon at the Ancient Tomb a year ago.[break][break]

Her Marshadow stands guard as the female ghost looks over to the fog that covers the paths to the other places with seals. Orange eyes watch for signs of life, Veyle is sure to fight off anything that might harm the Galarian princess.

A Chesnaught comes to greet the ambassador and her Marshadow though Elise can’t know if it was another that was friends with the one she caught. Veyle appears to ignore the other fighting type as she doesn’t want to fight something that could be training with another Pokemon. The Chesnaught gets a little bored and walks away from the female pair of ghost and trainer.[break][break]

With the Chesnaught’s departure, the ambassador makes her way across the little mountain path. She has some nostalgia with exploring the Border together with an Alolan friend though he has since gotten back to Alola to pursue being a herder of Wooloo.

A Trevenant much like the one Elise owned would be walking along the path towards the mountain. Elise figured that some ghost Pokemon were able to live in the Border for a long time. They have adapted to how harsh the climate was in the Border and they were getting sustenance from the different emotions from other spirits.[break][break]

Her Marshadow didn't want to fight the female Trevenant. She scares off the Trevenant with a Shadow Sneak before the tree Pokemon leaves both her and her trainer alone.

Her Marshadow gets on edge when Veyle’s orange eyes spot a moving shape, round as the unknown Pokemon can be. When the wild Pokemon shows itself to the Marshadow, it would appear that a Pignite was looking for opponents to spar with. Veyle stands in between the ambassador and the wild Pignite as her eyes watch the movements of the fighting type pig Pokemon.[break][break]

And when the rotund fighting type strikes with a Head Smash, the Marshadow is able to see how clumsy and slow he was. With how fast the Marshadow was, she easily dodges it and gives the Pignite a left hook with a Thunder Punch. Elise throws a Dusk Ball from her pack to catch the downed fighter.
